The Republican House Rules would seem to suggest that DeLay has to step down. But that is not written in stone and Repubs are well known to manipulate rules to their whims.
So there are many scenarios possible. DeLay may stay on. Blount may take over. Drier may move up.
Let's be prepared for whatever they throw at us. Let's anticipate DeLay's response so we can debunk quickly. What do we know about the potential successors? Do they have their own skeletons?
Keep the champagne flowing, but keep those keyboards humming. This a giant step, but the road still looms before us.
